He understands having compliant policies means state, federal, and local laws must work together. Halisi’s expertise makes him ideal for auditing and investigating workplace compliance issues.

In 2010, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management.  He began working in group homes, managing a home working with troubled youth ages 11 to 17. When he wasn’t managing a behavioral health home, he filled in covering for staff at a group home that housed youth sexual offenders.  In that field, he handled sensitive information, developed empathy for victims of harm, learned to analyze group behavior, and worked with teams for a common goal.  He worked in this field for approximately 3 years.

In 2013, he was accepted into law school. In 2014, Computer Assisted Legal Instructions (CALI) recognized him for receiving the highest grade in his legal writing course. Throughout his law school career, he tested different areas of the legal field. He held externship positions at the Industrial Court of Botswana, Maricopa County Superior Court, Tucson Unified School District, and a small boutique civil litigation firm. Along with analyzing the law, legal research, and analytical frameworks, law school taught him that he can accomplish anything he puts his mind to. He graduated from Arizona Summit Law School in 2015 after completing his courses in 2.5 years.

In 2016 Halisi began working for one of the nation’s leading HR consulting companies for private medical practices.  He was an advisor providing employers with guidance regarding HR and general employment law issues.  He was employed there for close to nine years.  Rising to the position of Senior Advisor and eventually the Training Lead.  A position focused on developing new advisors.  He worked on pre-litigation employment and HR issues.  While he saw HR and employment law issues daily, he could see different permutations of the same issue providing him with deep insight into how the same issue can arise in multiple ways.  During his tenure, he was able to work in a system and understand how to track the employment laws in all 50 states.  He customized 800+ handbooks and answered thousands of HR questions to the company’s 2,000+ members.  His employment law acumen grew from knowing the independent contractor analysis to helping business owners close out and set up their HR systems.

Halisi takes his years of experience using his empathy working with troubled teens, his law school education, and his experience handling difficult HR questions, to transition into helping businesses audit their HR systems and processes, ensuring they know how to conduct investigations if they arise.
